Chris Clem has practiced workers compensation claims for 18 years. Chris served six years in the Tennessee Legislature as the point man for rewriting the law on workers compensation. Under workers compensation employees are entitled to 3 primary benefits: 1. Employees are entitled to have 100% of all medical treatment paid by the employer that is related to the work related injury. 2. Employees are entitled to temporary disability checks if they miss work due to the work related injury. 3. Employees are entitled to a permanent disability award (usually a lump sum cash payment) if the doctor says the injured worker has a permanent injury.
